My molly has a brownish grey growth type thing on his scales and one of his fins looks clamped or almost as if its kind of rotting. Help!

Can you answer a few questions?
What are the parameters, what size tank, what other fish do you have, is it cycled, how long has this been set up, how long have you had this fish, any new additions, how long has this been going on? Sorry for all the questions. welcome to the forum, sorry this is your first post.

It's a 30 gallon that I've had set up for about a year. I've had him for a few months and the growth thing developed rather recently maybe a week or two. I've temporarily quarantined him in a 10 gallon. I've got an angel, two platies, two corys, a zebra/reg pleco hybrid.

I hate to say it, but I think it is cancer. If it's by its self, I've heard you can use 1tsp iodine salt per gallon I believe, but it probably wouldn't help. I don't know if their still here, but I'll try it any way. Aquarist, mind helping?

Feed her Vitamin -C enriched foods.

Euthanasia then feed her?? You are suggesting the OP to put to rest her fish then feed the body? I'm afraid I don't understand. . . can you elaborate?

Sorry, no need to euthanise. Just feed her vitamin-c foods.

I will notify that in a few hours because there is a procession of patients in our college.

Sorry, I think there are no brands. You have to feed fruits and vegitables
Lemon is rich in Vit-C , but you can't feed them for ther sourness.
You have to feed boiled white part of the apple. Also, you can feed boiled and peeled off papaya.
And for their colour , feed carotene foods such as carrot. This might help you.

Hey just wanted to give y'all an update. We tried everything we could but his cancer just kept getting worse. We just euthanized him via the clove oil method. Thanks for the advice
