Bala with African cichlids

Hello I am running a tank with 3 bumble bees 2 eletric yellows and 2 red zebras. My wife really likes the bala sharks but I'm unsure about compatability. From what I can see the water perameters are alittle diffrent mainly the PH level. I have a PH of 7.6 right now which is just barely out of the balas range. I know they are a fairly aggressive fish the I think will survive my aggressive tank. Any thoughts or suggestions about mixing these 2 kinds of fish?

Thank you.

I havea 37g right now but think I'm going to have to upgrade sometime soon to a 90ish.

My tank is fully cycled.

I would not recommend it. Bala sharks can grow over 12 inches long and prefer to be in schools, so you would need at least 5 or more which is too many for your tank. Also they are not aggressive compared to cichlids and they are also very sensitive to water quality, especially the smaller sized ones.

A full grown school of balas needs a very big tank . VERY. They are swimmers, they are large. 37gal wouldnt be healthy even temporary, a 90 wouldnt do. These are one of those awesome fish, that stores LOVE to sell, but unfortunately are harder to meet the demands for.
