W/ me being of the younger generation of the hospital people here (and that being said I am 30) I was the last to be hit w/ the soon to be full blown food posining, right now we all look like the staypuffed marshmellow men here... and we are talking about the RN's, LPN's and Nurses aides... and me... Respiratory oh yea.. the Nurse supervisor...

UH OH! We still have until 7 to go until the end of our shift and we all ate from the same place... of coarse there are some of us that look a little more pale than others (mine won't really go full blast until prob when I get home tonight)

Talking about some slacked off patient care, we might have to call in some backups!

I have to whine, this is the first time this has ever happend to me, and I am all alone w/ no help waiting for my shift to end hoping that I make it and still get the patients taken care of.

I hope we didn't get ecolI or something worse ...

As horrible as it is for you...this is really, really, really funny to everyone else! mostly because it was mexican food, it wouldn't be as funny with bad subs or something.

but hey, at least you're already at a hospital if things go south (in the physical and the metaphorical...haha). Walk around with an IV in your arm, that'll give the patients a scare.

LOL! It does eventually happen to everyone...
We all had a really bad patient at the end of shift so we got through it pretty fast. I am hoping I can get through the night the way I am right now I can handle this, I took my stomach meds and it seems to be okay.

We took turns calling them and letting them know about our ailments. What good it will do I dunno because once you get bad food from somewhere you don't go back for a free meal kwIm?? I do feel like they owe me a refund and a babysitter to put up w/ my kids tonight while I am feeling like this...

That's awful! Thankfully, the rule of thumb is that the faster food poisoning hits, the shorter the bout (there are exceptions, of course). It's the stuff that takes days or weeks to build up in your stomach that really hits hard.
Of course, I know, from experience, that this knowledge is very little comfort while you're actually sick.

Aww, that sucks. Food poisoning is the worst, and even more so when you're stuck at work! I hope you feel better soon!

Nope, it was a place in Lafollette. I have ate there a dozen times and never gotten sick, my husband said that recently when he ate lunch there at work the food/menu and everything had changed I should have listened to him.
