Baby Snails Appear In Tank??

The other day I look in my tank and there is the smallest snail I have ever seen, it grew pretty quickly. Yesterday, I find ANOTHER ONE! what is going on? How do snails just suddenly appear in someone's tank? Is it because of all the algae in my tank? Or were there snail eggs on one of my plants?
What is going on? I don't even know what type of snail they are yet.

probably pond/bladder snails, maybe ramshorn. yes, they came in on your plants. they multiply rapidly and can become pests if you overfeed.

if you want to get rid of them, pick out any that you see. if they're pond snails, their egg sacs look like small jelly sacs filled with white dots. inspect your plants to see if there are any and remove them from the tank.

If it becomes a problem I'll see what I can do.

if it does, you can drop in a piece of zucchinI and they should find it. take the zucchinI out with the snails that are clinging to it and repeat as many times as necessary. you could also buy an assassin snail that will kill most of them.

what I did with my pond snails is I thought they were too cute to kill, so I took all of them and their eggs out and put them in a small critter carrier by the window. now I have a little pond snail farm lol

I had the same problem, they are pest snails, Nothing gets rid of them!!!! I was infested with them, tried clown loaches, tried assissen snails, got rid of my plants, still snails!! The only way to get rid of pest snails is tear down your tank. Get rid of and don't put in live plants ever!!!!!! Now my tank is clean and NO snails. The only snail should be a zebra snail. I put in new stones and artificial decorations. Live plants will infest your tank with those awful snails. So if you really want to get rid of them you have to tear down your tank and not just was everything you need to get new stones and decorate. I tried the zucchini, lettuce, clown loaches, assassin snails, all it does is a waste of time and money.
