Baby rabbit snail "air bath"

I got 2 baby rabbit snails about a week ago, one didn't make it through acclimation, and the other has been sitting on the sand with it's trap door closed most of the time. It will poke it's head out from time to time and then pull back into it's shell. Is it shy or dying? Is this normal? I've got a few nerites and they're acting completely normal.

Welcome here. Is the tank cycled?

Welcome here. Is the tank cycled?
Yes. It's a 5 gal tank, I've had it for 8 or 9 months now. All my water parameters are good. My other inhabitants are acting normal (2 rasboras, 3 nerites, 1 ghost shrimp-- I have a good bit of algae)

UPDATE: I read about giving an aquatic snail an "air bath" just tried that. I put him/her on a wet paper towel for about 30 mins. Saw real movement for the first time in days

Still don't know if Baby will make it, but good signs... Celebrate little victories and whatnot

After the air bath itx important to put the snail back in upside down lower to the bottom then turn him right side up this allows for any trapped or that may migrate under the shell to escape
