Day 5:

Day 10:
Last night I started noticing the little ones dying for no reason...I took the drift wood out, still not breathing so I moved them to my 10 gallon with my baby corydoras. Things were going well again.

Hahahah! Was told to create one! Lots of algae is in the 10 gallon. It's the longest running tank.
Edit: RainBetta is the one who suggested it!

What confuses me is how the other 10 eggs that I had didn't hatch after 10 days. That is when I gave up on them No fungus, could see their body...

I think they do. I don't know how...since BBS are freeswimming and the plecos are not....Maybe any BBS that makes it to the bottom without being eaten?
I say this because I Had two plecos from a spawn that were living with angelfish babies who were being fed BBS. The rest of the plecos from that spawn were not in a tank getting BBS. Those two quadrupled in size compared to their siblings. This led me to believe that protein is very important early on and that BBS provided that extra protien for those two allowing them to grow significantly faster than the rest.

After this discovery, I now feed my pleco babies lots of shrimp wafers in addition to the veggies. Still not as good as live BBS. But I figure that the shrimp wafers give them at least a little more protein than something like algae wafers or veggies.

Baby brine shrimp. That is what I have always fed my cory and angelfish fry. I plan to breed plecos next year so just wondering how their diet varies when they are super duper small.

You should try it! Just they love to stick to something on the glass instead of just stating at the bottom where the food is. Mine are NOW exploring their nursery. I see lots of full tummy's along with zuchhuI being eaten.

For my cory cats, I squirt the bbs to the floor of the tank with a syringe and turn the lights out. They stay on the bottom wiggling away and the cories swim through eating them. I would think the same could be done for plecos.
