Baby Platy Set Free!!

I set my baby platy free today!!! She's loving the community tank. The other molly's and guppy's checked her (I think it's a her) out of course and when they were satisfied that she wasn't food, they went on their merry way. She likes hanging with the cory's and sometimes follows the orange molly around. She's (the baby) orange too, maybe she thinks it's her mom  :

I'm so glad I finally got to take the breeding net out!  More room for the little fishey's to swim in!

P.S. The Beta has her own tank now and is queen over a couple of cory's too.

I think it's time to name my fish now!   ;D

I put my baby guppies back in the main tank after a day or 2 lol and there are 5 fry there and that is the most I have seen which leads me to believe my guppies didnt eat them for some reason. they have some interesting colors and the eldest looks like his tail is on fire with a mix of oranges blacks and reds

Your eldest sounds just like one of my male guppy's. He has a really big tail with orange and black

cool ^,^ there pretty when they get unique colorations... all the ones I bought were plain but I suppose the babies got some recessive traits and they look very different from their parents

We've got green swordtails. I've still got a breed'n show with about 10 Green Swordtail fry in it that are about 3 weeks old. Too small to set free yet. One of the babies from my first spawn who is about 2 months old is orange....all of the others from that spawn were green......Hmm.....someone's been fooling with the mailman........

Speaking of fooling around, I have one female molly, and two male guppies. One of the guppy's, the little blue one has been chasing the molly around every since I bought them. The molly won't have anything to do with the little blue one, (btw she's orange) and the other night I was watching them and found the orange molly hiding in the cave with the bigger orange and black tail fancy male guppy. The little blue guppy was frantic, he was swimming all around the tank looking for his girlfriend while she and the other guppy were fooling around in the cave. It was hilarious!! I've heard that guppies will mate with mollies, so it will be an interesting batch if she does.

My sister in law's fiance has fancy guppies and male endlers....YUP, you guessed it....Endlers mated with the guppies and the guppy fry are colored just like the endlers......

only the males get 1 inch long the females get 2 inches but liveaquaria dosent sell the females

Yeah, I should have said that. The other thing is, if you want true Endlers is that you should get them from a true breeder as many have been crossed with guppies as they are very closely related. The females get up to about 1.5- 2" long and are generally grey in color. Nowhere near as colorful as the males.

Please tell me my baby is too young to be pregnant!!! Something is definitely wrong with her. Her tummy is all bloated like she's pregnant. She's only about -------------- this big now. My molly is definitely pregnant, her tummy is swollen too. Oh and the baby is a platy, in case you were wondering.

Endlers are becoming extinct in the wild, so there is an effert being made to not breed them with guppys. Although most of the ones you find pet stores are mixed. They are gorgeous irridescent little fish. The males are very tiny and brightly colored. Mine think they are gods gift to women(female fish )

False Alarm!! She's not pregnant, she's just a pig at meal time!! I've been watching her when I feed them and she eats so much her little tummy swells up!
