    Hey guys,
I have a gold mystery snail who had two babies. I didnt see them for quite a long time until one just came cruising across the bottom in search for food. He is very small and I want him to live so I canpur him in another 10 gallon. How do I keep him alive or make sure I can track him down? Also any tips to keeping babies safe and healthy would be appreciated.

P.S. in a tank with a molly and two platies (very calm and female)

Are you sure they are mystery snails? Usually MS lay a clutch of eggs and when they are hatched, can yield at least 100 babies.
    Can you take a picture?

What size is your tank? Platy's and Mollies typically will not bother snails in general.

I know what you mean but they are 100% mystery snails in my tank...
    Its a 10 gal

Is it possible I have more than one and I dont know?

Well you WOULD know in a 10 gallon - did you see any evidence of an egg clutch above the water line and or somewhere on the hood/lid, etc? The clutch would likely be broken up and still there.
Mystery snails lay their clutch above the water.....
A picture would definitely be helpful :)

Looks like to me like a black juvenile ramshorn snail. But don't take my word for it I'm not a snail expert.

Do you have any live plants in the tank? If so then usually you get it from them or when you bought your snail it was attach to it.

I have two live plants from petsmart that i bought from a container and not a tank...

As in there was no water with the plant
