I bought a black lyretail Molly at Petco and today I see small little black fish swimming around. Was it pregnant?!? The black Molly right now is very inactive what’s going on with it? Also the small fish can get sucked into the filter so I turned it off and I don’t know what to do. Help!!

Move the baby in to a different tank or breeder box or Else the molly will eat it there should be more coming so keep an eye out it is normal for the molly to be inactive during pregnancy

Yes mollies are livebearers. It is possible that your molly was pregnant. Can you please post a picture so we can confirm. What size tank is it? Do you have a hang on filter? Sometimes platy fry get into my filter. I usually am able to get them out pretty easily.

I’ll try getting a picture of them currently I’ve only seen 3 but right now I can’t see any. I have a hang on filter and I saw one go in and was able to get it out

It's highly likely that you have a baby molly in your tank, however, you need to turn the filter back on! You can get a pair of panty hose, cut off the foot part and stick it on the intake of the filter so the fry doesn't get stuck.

I'd go out and get a 40 breeder honestly! Mollies don't belong in a 10 gal. tank. You can use the 10 gal for a fry tank for now, and the 40 for the adult mollies as they get older

Okay I did the pants hose thing. Where can I get a 40 gallon that’s not too expensive

Either petco or petsmart have their dollar days here and there through the year. I got mine last April and I believe it was about 50 dollars for just the tank. You can also look online for a used one.
