My smallest clown loach just passed away the same way a few of my other loaches have. They begin to have a fat stomach then they go to the top of the water for a day or two, then they die. My tank is a 40 gallon with two filters a aqua clear 50 and aqua clear 20. The temp is set to 79.5. The ph is 7.0 am is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 10. I took pics so you guys can examine him. I just don’t want my other loaches to suffer the same fate any help is highly appreciated. IMG_2112.JPGIMG_2113.JPG

He does look bloated. What were you feeding them. Do you have any left?

Ok what about shrimp pellets and flake foods. Algae wafers and blood worms are not enough to keep them healthy. Mine eat anything that goes in my tank and I feed at least 15 different types of food during the week. The only thing they don’t eat is algae wafers.

I have never seen or heard of this bloating in Clown Loaches.

My Clown Loaches do eat algae wafers.

That clowns shape makes him look like a blood parrot.
