Baby Goldfish Is Sad

I had two baby goldfish in a good 10 Gallon tank as their tempory home while I saved up to make a pond. One of the baby goldfish died after a water change and it was because of the drastic change from water temp. he's all alone in the tank and swims slowly and isn't his usual fast curious self. after the death I did regulate the water temp and tested the water and everything seems to be fine. should I get him another friend or just let the time pass?

What type of goldfish? If they are feeders, then go ahead and get another! They cost cents.

I think you should get just one to give the other some company and then get a few more when the pond is done.

Goldfish do best in small groups, so I would get another. Btw, 10G is quite small, even for baby goldfish. Goldfish are huge waste producers. When do you expect to have your pond ready?

I should have enough to make/maintain the pond near the beginning of August. I did get another fish and took some time but they get along fine and come together to beg me for snacks. do you know what other type of a fish I could fill with my pond? cause I was just thinking on just putting common goldfish and that's it.
