Baby Bettas (petco)

Did Petco stop selling baby bettas? I haven't see any in a really long time. I see more "assorted females" now and many of their regular bettas don't look as big, juvenile size.

I don’t believe they did! I saw them recently when I went. In my store they’re on different end caps than the adult betta fish. You could ask an employee in the fish section if they still get babies in, they should know... theoretically.

 

I haven't asked yet because I shouldn't lol...I have 8 tanks going currently which was hard to maintain working the retail life but now I'm starting a new job with better hours so I am of course already thinking of my next fish. I def feel like if I spot one I'm gonna buy it

 

It all depends on what fish they are getting, petco (individual stores) doesn't order any but the assorted female bettas (that they have started placing in a tank with other fish and the other female bettas).
It may just be that the suppliers don't have the baby bettas on hand or that the baby bettas aren't doing as well.

 

I found one “baby girl” at another Petco so I got her lol. They had a few baby boys too but I’ve been in search of a baby girl . I’m skeptical that she’s a girl because she’s too small to have an egg spot but we will see! My last boy ended up being a girl but all my other ones have been accurate! I hope she makes it...her cup was pretty gross!

 

They still get those at Petcos here, but only every month, and almost always sell out within 2-3 days!

 

Baby bettas are still out there for sale at Petco, but they aren’t being sold at as young of an age. Even so, we have been getting them in older than what I have noticed in the past.

 

My Petco here sells them. I see them all the time when I go there. A co worker of mine gave me 3 as she couldn't care for them.
