So my last betta died last week if old age =( and in his last few months he was really lethargic. I replaced him with a young betta not even an inch in length and I swear he never stops moving! He is a dragonscale short finned and is extremely hyper. It's sort of a shock as I'm not used to hyperactive bettas anymore. Anyone else make this observation?

I would say that any new betta fish is hyper... mainly because they have been crammed in a teeny-tiny cup, but once you put them in your tank... FREEDOM!!!!:;banaman

That happened to all of my Betta's! lol

I've noticed that the shorter finned bettas have more energy.

oh... that's a good point too, those long fins would make it hard to swim fast... good point!!:;perfect
