During the shelter in, I lucked in to getting a baby betta to grow out. It really helped me mentally because it as exciting. I had no idea the coloring the fish would get or sex. the baby is navy blue now and starting to get much larger fins plus an electric blue color on combtail fins.
Well last week, I moved duckweed from my Ramshorn tank into the 5 gallon upgrade as the baby betta was getting much bigger & needed more space than the 2 gallon.
a few Ramhorn eggs must have been mixed in. Today I found 2 decapitated empty shells Ramhorns- looked like blue ones. RIP little buddies. Opps...
well , that's nature. but now the baby is bugging the mystery snail. the tank has a corner of death - same area the Ramshorns were decapitated & where the betta caused the mystery snail to retreat into shell. I'm calling it the Bermuda triangle. if the betta keeps at the mystery snail, I'll remove it for a few days to desensitize the betta. they co-existed since I purchased the betta, but now everything is a worm to eat!
