Baby betta 5-10? gallon build!

I have a deformed baby betta from a spawn late last year she is stunted but otherwise heathy.

about the tank.
I am hoping to make it look a bit like a falling rock mountain. plants are Anubias, salvinia, and mystery plant (I don't remember what it is actually called lol) I am not sure on the substrate yet...

stocking.
1 betta, 1 rabbit snail (possible) 5 ember tetras

here is the tank I am getting. MARINELAND Aquarium, Black Trim Pet Store - BlueBarn.Shop I was going to get the 5 gallon but I might have to go with the 10 as it is out of stock right now...


also if I go with the 10 gallon would I be able to put in a few ember tetras?

I should have the tank by the 19th at the latest so will post some pictures then!

 

I personally like to keep tetras in a 20 gallon tank instead of 10. Since ember tetras are small, it's not impossible to put them. It's up to you and other people's opinions. I have a baby betta right now and he's aggressive like the other betta and loves food. It's also fun to watch him grow. He likes to rest on the heater, filter, and inside a cave. Hope this helps.

Okay! Any fish you can think of that would do good with a betta?

this is what she looks like. also I am not 100% sure it is even a girl... she is slightly aggressive so that is a good point. I might just go with a few amano shrimp.

I have an adult male betta who lives in my 5 gallon with two bronze Corydoras and three neons. They all get along, but my betta is extremely docile and sweet.

By the way, her eyes and coloration are stunning! ❤️ Love that blue and red with hint of purple!

I totally forgot about this thread lol. she ended up going to my sister and lives in a nice 5 gallon with a nerate snail, live plants and a cave hide that she loves.

 

I'd do a small school (6) of corydoras catfish. She\He has very interesting coloration. The stripe in its eye is beautiful. IMO, it does look a bit like a he due to the long ventral fins.

yes she is gorgeous and her colouring is even brighter now that she is in the new tank!

and about the gender, she still looks the same.... no egg spot so maybe not a girl? and fins have not grown at all. I think she may be stunted as she was smaller as a baby and looks the same as she did when the picture was taken and is now over a year old.


EDIT. do you mean corydora in the five or a ten gallon? I will also get a picture.
