So I recently found axolotls, and I captured two. They are about 1 inch long, and They have been eating cut up worm peices, but I was wondering if I could also feed them newt pellets?

    I think
    they prefer live food

Yes, you can. However since they are used to live it may take some time for them to decide the pellets are in fact food!!!

I purchased two sub-adults axolotls that were only eating live black worms... what a nightmare transitioning them to pellets.
