Axolotl Behaviors

My axie is in a 20G L by himself and has been doing a lot of back wall swimming and stays with his face turned towards the back of the tank. He doesn't do much swimming like I see in other tanks. Is that normal? Should I find him a tankmate?

This is my first "Axololt" and I am used to my pets coming to the glass to meet and greet me with hungry little begging eyes... so I am at a loss with being given the cold shoulder

Is he in the right tememuture range I heard axolotols can get really sluggish if temp is too high or too low
the temperature should never exceed 72 degrees fahrenheit and should not drop below 60.

this is happening with my new axolotl! He stays in the same back right corner and will swim up and down it and then float up to the top and stay there! Has your axolotl changed or is it still doing the same thing?

Is his tail or gills curled? Is he eating? Do you have a brightly lit tank?
