Awesome Koi news!!!!!

Alright so last night I ordered 3 Koi, an assorted, an YamabukI Ogon and a Kohaku. there all imported from Japan. I got them this morning And guess what I got for the assorted one!!!!!!!!!!! And as I was putting them into my pond I found Koi eggs!!!!!!!!!! How long till they hatch? They had to be laid this morning or late last night. Guess what the assorted Koi was, I'm so exited!!!!!!

Anyone gonna guess or comment?

 

Congrats on the new Koi!!! Where did you find the eggs?? Eggs will hatch in a couple of days. It usually takes 3 to 7 days for them to hatch. They'll survive on their yolk sac for a day but after that you need to feed them. Where will you be keeping the babies if they hatch??

I have no idea what your assorted Koi turned out the be. A picture perhaps??

I think dez meant the assorted fish was actually fish eggs.

Have you removed any of the eggs? They'll be eaten soon if you don't.

 

Yes, a Gin Rin one too!!!!! No I didn't remove them but there's this place in my pond they can't get to so I put them there.

Apparently they could get to them so now I have 6 eggs and the ones I couldn't reach. I've made sure there safe now!

 

I'm starting to doubt their Koi eggs now I googled pics and the one picture that came up didn't look like my koi eggs. Mine are little dots with eyes inside of a clear sac as big as an eraser cap. Are they Koi eggs if not what are they??

Sounds strange. Can you post a picture?

 

Koi eggs are not much bigger than a dot made with a pencil point. If they are a big as an eraser then I would suspect they are frog eggs. later....Gary
