I had eggs from both a pair of Australoheros cf. Scitulus and also Australoheros sp. Red Ceibal within about 24 hours of eachother back on March 28/29. The A. sp. Red Ceibal I thought had a decent chance of defending their eggs from some Thorichthys Meeki (firemouths). And I figured the A. Scitulus would have trouble saving theirs since they are in with some Paratheraps Hartwegi, Parachromis Dovii, and a few others that are growing out.

I was wrong, go figure, the sp. Red Ceibal got to the wiggler stage then disappeared.

But here are the A. Scitulus today.
