Aussie Fish Sellers

Hiya
Just wondering if anyone here is from Aus and regularly sells/ships fish interstate.
I'm in the NT and the laws on fish are very strict. You can't sell or give away your fish to anyone. You can "surrender" them to certain fish stores that are licensed, but most refuse because it's a lot of paperwork and little to no profit. Otherwise you can surrender them to fisheries and they kill them.

Because of this I want to sell my fish interstate, but I haven't been able to find anything on the laws for this. Fisheries websites and personnel are pretty useless.
If you can give some advice that would be great! Thanks

Edit: As I find info I'll put it up here.
I have found some interesting information on selling in Western Australia. You don't need a license for breeding, keeping, or selling fish as long as the main purpose is as a "hobby". There are localities where you may need one, so check with your local Govt body (council). May also need one if the fish is deemed a biological hazard (standard Aussie law)

Few readers, no responses
Done some research into NSW licensing as well. Seems only certain fish need licenses. I shot an email off to their Fisheries asking them to confirm that I didn't need a license to sell there as a hobbyist.

In NSW I think our waterways aren't as protected as yours. I want to breed plecos one day, but haven't given thought to interstate selling.

What species are you selling? Will you use AAE?

Plecos are banned here There used to be 1 or 2 you could get but now they are all banned.

AAE is the only person I can ship with from up here. ATM I just have my cichlids and my dwarf gourami fry are a possibility.

I've been limiting my breeding because of the laws here. I have stock to breed cherry barbs, sterbaI cory cats, fighting fish and a few gouramis.
But if I were gonna breed it would be for fun and not financial gain. Atleast not at this point ;P I would need a large house if I wanted to make money.

I'd buy sterbaI off you! And why are all plecos banned? That's crazy talk!
I recently lost my dwarf gourami and I may look to get another one day. I'll have to pm you!

Unfortunately I lost my fry over the weekend Had an accident with the filter cable and didn't notice. Lost the lot But I'll try again this weekend!
Still no response from NSW. I hate how fisheries are always slow to reply.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fry! How devastating. I hope your next batch stay safe for you.
If it's any help, live fish Australia sell catfish to NSW. That's where I got my baby pygmies. They're in bundaberg though. I don't see why there would be restrictions from the NT.

I can buy from Livefish, but only the legal fish. We have lots of restrictions. No walking fish, a lot of cichlids are banned and some barbs. Basically anything hardy enough to survive in our waters. We have an abundance of rainbow fish here (very nice ones!) and they try hard to protect them. Bubblenesters are fine because they don't think they can breed here. All mouthbrooders start out on the banned list and after research are added to the "allowed" list. Oscars only became available late last year.

I bought my pseudotropheus aceI from livefish. I had tried ordering them locally but everyone believed they were banned and refused. I had a fight with fisheries to be allowed to have them.
