Assassin snail???

I have a trumpet snail infestation, so i just went to the LFS and bought an assassin snail. It looks nothing like the assassin snails I find on google. No black and yellow stripes. I’m not sure if this is an assassin snail or if the worker accidentally gave me some kind of other snail? I attached an image of the snail they gave me.

 

That looks like the Malaysian trumpet snails I have. It's definitely not like any assassin snail I've ever seen.

Lol thanks. Definitely going to return it and get a real assassin snail!

 

One assassin won't make a dent in your snail problem id look att manually removing them.

I would like to get more assassins but I'm worried that they would multiply and create a whole other problem. I've manually removed about 10 trumpet snails in the past week. In the past 2 days I've only seen 2 new ones. So I don't know if there are a lot of trumpet snails left or not. Thinking about buying a snail trap.. not really sure what to do.

 

It takes a bit longer but this happened to me one evening they all came to the surface in one go
