Are These Same Type Tetra?

    I was under impression these where same and would school together? The clearer one will not school with other... Was I told wrong

    I can't see the pictures very well but if they are different types they will not school together. Tetras need to be in groups of 6+ of their own type.

    They're different species, so no, they won't school together.

    The coloration looks different to me, so they are different species. Different species of tetras don't school together.

    You were likely told wrong as most pet store employees don't have enough knowledge on proper fish care.

    I was told wrong:) just left store and took them back which saves me a lot of issues because I didn't have enough to school anyways so it made my life slot easier
