    Yes, they are pregnant.

    How long do you think they will give birth?
  4. Protim SarkarWell Known MemberMember

    Probably a week. :)

    The left picture looks to be about a week away, the right picture I'm not so sure, possibly more than that.

    They've always told me that if there is a black dot visible above their poop hole they are merely just a day or two away from giving birth... Have used it as an indicator and usually did fit the description, yet I must say I haven't watched them give birth until this moment, it always happened when I wasn't looking, and have my pregnant fish all together in one tank (ATM)...

    hope this helps and also hope someone could confirm this theory pls

    -tank you ::pompous:

    Thank you all for your help I will gat a breeding net ready.

    Lastly will a breeders net allow waste to leave the net?

    Yes, it will. Its better not to isolate the guppy.It can result to abort the fries. If your tank is planted and had enough hiding spots then there is a chance for the survival of the fries. You can also scoop out the fry after birth.

    Ahahahahah the guppy on he left lost the dark spot behind its belly, now I only see pink and a few dots.

  12. JustinokayValued MemberMember

    The pink and few dots are the fry and their eyes.:)
