Are these eggs or something else

I have been noticing a huge increase in these things all throughout my tank. At first I thought it was some old un-eaten pellets that was growing fungus. However when I scooped one out it looked and felt more like frog eggs. I have danios and otos that are egg layers but these look too big for them. Does anybody know what this might be? Could it be aborted platies? Thanks

Welcome to Fishlore.

What do you feed your fish? It looks a bit like moldy pellets to me. What ever it is, it should be removed from your tank as the decomposition process will be adding ammonia to and could potentially cause the tank to become unstable.

That is exactly what my sinking shrimp pellets look like 2 days after putting em in the tank and them not being eaten. Remove them from the tank, and feed less pellets is my best suggestion

Thanks did a quick vacuum tonight. I guess my gourami was the bottom feeder before not my danios as I thought. I am looking to get some rcr and mts for this tank so I don't have any left overs

Yeah... I'm using a similar fish food to cycle my tank and that's what it looks like by now.

Looks like it was left over pellets. I switched to flakes and haven't seen any more of the stuff. Will still feed pellets just not that often as most of my remaining fish are top feeders. Thanks for the help
