Just discovered these in my tank. Have attached photos - sorry for dodgy quality. They are oval shaped, 2 millimetres long, attached to a live plant with a thread. They look like eggs but there are only 5 of them in the whole tank.
The only fish we have in pairs are Angel Fish (not aggressive to the other fish so I assume not a romantic pair), Bristlenose Catfish (I assume both are male as both have decent bristles, and they lay eggs in a crevase), Clown Loaches (don't breed in captivity) and Rummy-nosed Tetras (Tetra eggs are apparently microscopic).
We are beginning to get a bit of algae in the tank but this doesn't look like the algae which is a furry covering on some plant leaves.
Can anyone enlighten me please?
