Are these eggs and if so what do we do???

BabsandLoon

So a week or so ago I posted about Cheeto doing some bottom sitting and Truffle doing some chasing.
We determined it was possible Cheeto had eggs and Truffle was doing typical breeding behavior stuff.
Today I noticed the white things on here as well as some other decorations in the tank.
Are these eggs??? If they are what do we do?

As this is in the goldfish board I’d guess at goldfish :)

Op by any chance do you have a nerite snail? those look like nerite snail eggs to me.
Sorry, sometimes I can be so air-headed.

Sorry I can't help you with goldies.

Edited because I lied…there IS a nerite still in that tank.
Well that makes me feel better. Those will only hatch/survive in salt water right?

Hmm they aren’t mystery snail eggs, have you a pic of your snails just to check you haven’t got a nerite?

Edit: oops just seen your post above, yes that solves the puzzle :)

Definitely nerite eggs, and they won't hatch in freshwater.

That makes me feel better.
I was panicking thinking I was going to have a hundred baby goldfish lol

These are definitely without a doubt Nerite Snail eggs. They will not hatch in freshwater as baby Nerites require Brackish water to survive to adulthood. No need to worry about a Snail or Goldfish infestation, rather a minor inconvenience with cleaning off the eggs.

Looks like you beat me to the post, MacZ. :)

I’d rather clean eggs off decorations than raise baby goldfish!
