Are there any plants resistant to "plant eaters"?

Sappy

Hi, a few months ago I purchased some Buenos Aires Tetras not knowing that they are plant eaters. I want to keep the fish but I would also like to have some live plants in there with them. So my question is, are there any plant species that are known to be resistant to plant eaters, perhaps grass-like plants such as jungle val? The tank has a course sand substrate if that matters.

I tried a Amazon Sword but they nipped at any new leaves it sprouted, I also tried ludwigia and they nipped at it at first but then left it alone over time, however the plant didn't do well in that tank (possibly because the sand substrate) so I moved it.

You can try Anubias, Java fern, or Vallisneria. Other then that try artificial plants

Bucephalandra would also probably be ok. They are small plants, but I am particularly fond of them.
