Are stealth heaters submerible?

Yes Marineland Stealth heaters are fully submersible. Make sure when you do a water change the water don't go below the safety line on the heater. If it does you may damage the heater.

The heater is fairly new but the guy didn't have the box and I forgot to ask him about it
