Are my "shrimp safe" liquid ferts actually shrimp safe?

I have a liquid fertilizer that is supposedly shrimp safe. It's even advertised to have "0.001% iodine to enable crustaceans (such as shrimp) to molt and grow." Despite these advertisements it also says it has copper. From what I've heard copper is not shrimp or snail safe right? The fertilizer is FlorinMulti Planted by Brightwell Aquatics.

Also I just looked and probably put this in the wrong area. My bad moderators :/

I know nothing about fertilizers but they should be(I would still wait for another opinion though). Copper in small amounts isn't harmful to shrimp, in fact they need a little of it.

It should be just fine. Many living things, including crustaceans, need trace amounts of copper. If the bottle days it's fine, your did be good to go.

Maybe don't use it on any colonies of $80+/piece shrimp (there's a local breeder who sells them!), but I wouldn't stress too much if you've got more run-of-the-mill red cherries, Amanos, ghost shrimp, etc.

Okie dokie, thanks so much. I've been dosing everyday while it cycles for the plants and thinking of turning it into a shrimp tank. I might buy some ghost shrimp to test it though since they're extremely cheap in my lfs

Check for local breeders, too! Mixed neocaridina are $8 each at my LFS, but I got 12 for $10 from a dude in the next neighborhood. I'm glad I have a dozen of them, but VERY glad I didn't spend $100 to get them!!!

The ones at my LFS are 3 bucks each but I'll definitely look around. Most of the cherries I find online are a little more on the expensive side sadly
