How do you know if your angelfish are pairing when you have 6 it’s kinda hard to tell any tips? I know I have at least two females because they’ve laid eggs and have definite breeding tubes… but is it possible they’re all females LOL

I can't help with the sex of your angelfish, Linda1234 might have an idea, but if a pair forms they will stay together and chase the others away. Its possible that two females might pair up. I also have 6, big and over a year old. No sign of pairing, I am wondering if mine are all males as some have quite distinct humped heads.

I saw the post earlier; a bit of more context for the pictures might help but i don't see anything obvious that suggest any males. One of them looks a bit stunted. Males do tend to be larger so if you have one that is 25% or 50% larger than the others there is a chance it is a male. Conversely if they are all females they are likely to get along peacefully; throw a male into the mix and you might end up with female on female aggression so there is that to consider.

Okay thank you so much for the advice! I’m actually saving up for a 60 gallon to split my angels up so there’s not too many since I got them as babies and they’re getting quite big a 50 gallon isn’t quite enough for them! Also someone left two angelfish at the pet store and the lady said they had been sitting there all day if I wanted them I could have them so she didn’t have to put them back. (I gave the pet store guppy fry because I had too many)
Now we have these two dudes. So we definitely need another big tank.
