Are fantail and veil tail goldfish the same fish

Hi are fantail and veil tail goldfish the same fish with different names

Think of a 'veiltail' as a TYPE of Fantail. Real Veiltails are actually kind of unusual. I do believe a defining feature is that the tail is especially long (sometimes to the point where it weighs the fish down) and it doesn't have a "V" shape, it's flat on the edge like a wedding veil. There are Philadelpha veiltails (which I think are only bred by one guy in the US, and not sure if he is doing it anymore) and UK Veiltails, they are a little different from each other.
