Are Air Pumps Necessary?

HI everyone!

As the title says, are they necessary? I have an ait pump with an air stone but I dislike using it because it makes water spatter at the surface of the water.

My tank is a 23g and I have the following filters on it:

- Seachem Tidal 55 set on full flow
- Suisaku/Aquananos Corner Fit 2W

I have the tank stocked with:

- 6 Rummies
- 1 Corydoras Sterbai
- 1 Betta

Temp is consistently at 78-82°F.

Am I providing enough oxygen or do I still have to use the air pump pictured below?

I also attached a pic of a Co2 diffuser, will this produce finer bubbles when attached to my air pump in case I really have to use it?

Aquariums generally don't need an air pump, especially with 2 filters running. The CO2 might change that though depending on how much you are using.

Oh I see, okay good to know I don't need to run tge air pump. On top of the noise it makes, the bubbling drives me nuts.

I don't use Co2, not yet at least. Inattached a pic of a Co2 diffuser in the hopes of producing finer bubbles so I won't get spatter on the water surface. But I read that it stresses the air pump which will eventually kill it.

You can't go wrong with having a air bump in your tank
