Aqueon QuietFlow Filter question

Hey so I’m using this filter Aqueon QuietFlow 30 LED Pro and I added the aqua clear 30 bio max filter insert in the space behind the filter cartridge the filter came with so both are there ... is that okay? I have a 20g long tank

 

As long as the flow isn't impeded feel free to mod away. Most people here mod their filters to some degree. After awhile you learn that it doesn't really matter what you put in there so long as it supports your stock

 

I don't even use filter cartridges in my HOBs, usually a sponge and filter floss and maybe an extra sponge so i have seeded media for a future HOB.

 

Okay thanks everyone yeah the flow on it is still the same hasn’t changed it’s pretty strong I got a bigger size for my tank thinking it would be better

 

I did the same thing to my Aqueon hob. I firmly believe my fish are healthier for it. Aquaclear sponge and beads are all I use in mine.
