Aqueon Optibright Led Light Too Bright?

I picked up an Aqueon Optibright 30"-36" LED light yesterday for my 20L. Wow, this thing is bright! I imagine it's great for my plants, but I'm thinking it has to be too bright for the fish. Does anyone else have this light? I feel like I need to get some floating plants to block some of the light and give my fish a break from the sun. It's seriously as bright as the sun.

I'd reccomend something dimmer unless your plants are out of direct light from outside the tank or experiment and watch for signs of stress first. Typically if its too bright. They'll huddle around objects that block light or swin at the bottom.

Anyone have this LED light? This is more along the lines of what I wanted. Finnex Planted+ 24/7 Automated LE 30" - Ultra SlI'm LED Fixture - Lighting - Products

It's actually not as bright as I thought, but definitely bright enough. My Anubias and Amazon Swords appear to have perked up over the past two days, so that's good. And the fish don't appear to be bothered by it. It just doesn't have the cool factor with all the features of the Current-USA and Finnex lights.

We took the LED light bar off, dried it out, then wrapped electrical tape around every other light. Much nicer. We have our light on for about 6-8 hours each day.
