Does anyone have hood or similar one? I ask because I am unsure if blue moon glow light is intended or supposed to be on all night when main light off or off altogether overnight. 2nd, can anyone post pic if have hoid with different lamps, I haven't been able to find videos that showcase them so I can determine which lamp I want for other spot. Thanks.

Blue light is for night viewing. It should be turned off over night.

Yes turn off all the lights and night time, give the fish a chance to rest. As for as lighting, it all depends on what you are planning to do. If you want live plants, then more natural light will be better.

Ok, only been 2 nights so ill start turning lights off fully tonite. Part of reason I have left on moon glow light was first night I turned off all lights but light from another room was still entering the room where tank is(the kitchen) but ill turn all lights off on tank and leave lamp be(we keep it on all night to see where were going and security reasons it looks like someone awake, I think most people do that overnight in main living spaces)

No I have no interest in real plants, fake have and always will be good for me. I wanted pics for visual of what colormax looked like with red n white, or blue max or the other one I'm forgetting name of before I went and bought one sicne they $20 a piece but I'll cross my fingers and go with one I think will look best with my daytime led bulb next to it. Thank you for input

When I add new fish, I will turn off the lights at night to allow them time to acclimate to the their new surroundings. It also helps to lessen aggression toward the new fish from the other fish already in the tank.
