Aquatic Frogs For 10 Gallon?

I’m looking to get a frog for my tank. Are there any aquatic frogs that can live in a 10 gallon at 79 degrees with four white neons 2 dwarf shrimp and 2 mystery snails?

I think the temperature and tank size is fine, but you'll probably want to get at least two frogs because they need friends. african dwarf frogs are the only appropriate aquatic frogs that I know of. they might try to eat the shrimp though.

Frogs have poor eyesight and try to eat anything they stuff in their mouths. They might eat the scrimp and possible the fish. It's a small tank odds are the'll cross paths a lot.

you'd really have to set up a brand new habitat for most amphibians

Darn

I’m trying to escape that “aquarium means fish” vibe

Frogs generally do best in species only tanks.

I'd recommend slowly lowering the temperature to around 73-74f. The neons need cooler water than 79f.

I agree with most things they have been stated, frogs really do best in a species tank.

I know I had five frogs and one betta in a 20 gallon long, and the frogs at one point took a go at the betta, cause they thought it was their food. I had to move the frogs.

If you want frogs, you’ll probably have to set up a different tank.

What about a Pacman frog do they have a similar setup to an aquarium but without water right?

For another tank

Never mind what I just said

When shrimp are gone I will get an ADF after I get some leaves and frog food

Good idea?

Can neons have special defender fish to save them

It’s a joke if it’s false

But seriously what about the pacman frog or an axolotyl do they need any special light or anything

African dwarf frogs are social so shouldn't be kept alone. In a 10 gallon you could have up to 4 but I wouldn't keep any with neons. They shouldn't be kept with fish and need warmer water than neons.

Don't know about those frogs but axolotls need a 20 gallon long minimum.

Neons need 68-75f

Pacman frogs aren't aquatic. Axolotl's are hard to keep with fish, even neons will pick at there frills. Aside from that there easy to keep. they don't need a tidal cycle.

...but they do need very cold water and at least 20 gallons.

Thanks but I’m settling with ADFs any secrets I should know about them?

Maybe I can get axolotls when I have more space and figure out where I can put them

*in a separate tank
*same with ADFs

ADF’s are awesome! a lot of diseases going around right now tho so beware. don’t buy any pale or peeling frogs, or if there's any in the tank like this.

Great

How do you do emojis!

Can axolotls live with ADFs? That would be best how many gallons would that be
