WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!
Tons of stuff for sale, fish, shrimp, tanks, plants (tons of tissue cultures), corals, decor, filters, food... you name it.
Some salty stuff (35% maybe)....
Credit cards accepted... I was there for 3.5hrs and could’ve used more time... took that long to look and see
Ahhhh I’m even more excited now lol I have nothing to do tomorrow so I’ll probably be there about all day lol

Anyone interested in some plants? My tanks are getting overgrown and they could use a bit of thinning out. I can bring them to AE tomorrow.

I have anacharis, 2 types of amazon swords, jungle val and java moss.

That’s a good idea, I was gonna bring a few bags of frogbit if anyone wanted some.

I could probably bag up some anacharis and java moss but the swords and vals are still planted and I don't want to pull them unless I know someone wanted them.

The good anacharis and low, flat sword is in my shrimp tank and will have limpets. The other swords and java moss should be pest free.

Oh... and both Crinums are easily triple in size (length) now.

Ya I should disclose my plants are not pest free too, good call.

I have a baby ozelot sword I’ll bring too. Its still on the stalk.

Confession time: I have no idea what limpets are lol.

Crinums! I’m still not over losing my first.

I have echinodorus bleherI (sword) in various states. I don't know what the other short sword is. I have 3 that have a bit of algae and not in the best of shape but healthy and 2 that are in my shrimp tank with limpets that are gorgeous. The anacharis is also beautiful in this tank but will also have limpets. Java moss would be from my fry tank and could possibly have fry poop in them .

Limpets are tiny half shelled clam-like inverts that crawl around the tank and eat algae. Usually 1-3mm in size. Some people love them, others hate them. I had thousands in my shrimp tank and cleared up my heavily algae'd front glass in a few days. They die off when there's low/no food source.

My crinums are still kinda sparse with 10-20 leaves but they've gotten long.

The vals will be from my 75 gallon and should be pest free. Do you want limpets on your anacharis? The anacharis in my 75 gallon aren't the best of shape but they do grow like weeds so it would only take a few weeks to look as good as the stuff in my shrimp tank (with limpets).

Vals on the right, anacharis on the left.

Psst Lchi87 ... Crinum!

I don't really have a preference, whatever is easier for you. Thank you so much!

Ok. Anacharis is from my shrimp tank. I didn't realize how much they grew. There's 3 stems about 18" long with many offshoots. I cut off most of the roots (they grow back easily and not really needed for this plant). I also bagged about 6 new runners from my vals and also pulled a small corkscrew val.

Do you need any DIY root tabs?

Any other takers? I really don't want to bag extras if I don't have to.

I have plenty of root tabs already. Thanks for the offer though!

Teetering on heading down to meet fish people from here . Hate to say I am not super interested in what the industry offers although I would certainly enjoy seeing some stuff, and chasing down a couple specific breeders/suppliers I know will be there .
Got a lot to do before I can start my 3 hour drive but would like to meet the people from here that are going mostly ...
Dave125g it will never be closer is how I see it ?

Your probably right, but my schedule just doesn't allow me to be spending 10 hours to shop for fish. 6 hours of that is just driving, which I wouldn't mind.

DarkOne ill take some anacharis and java moss. I’d prefer the one with limpets. It’s going to be going into my puffer tank so I’m sure they’d enjoy the snack lol. Also what kind of crinum do you have?

coralbandit I hope you go. It’s gonna be awesome just being around people who are into the hobby like we are.

Has this become a group text now? I wish I was there and not here, working.

Ohio Mark I think there’s another fish convention in middle of November in Ohio. I forgot what it’s called.

Part of my haul from today. Also got clown killifish, but they look like ghosts in the bag. The one guy had all shrimp, caridinia and neos for $2

Just got back. This is my haul. I bought a 2.5 gallon aquscaped nano cube and some cherry shrimp. A TDS meter and a small sponge pre filter for an HOB intake tube.
Setting up the nano cube so waters a little cloudy now.

I wish I could go! It’s only 2 hrs from me, but with traffic through NY and NJ it would take so much longer! Too bad they didn’t do this in Hartford if they were coming to the East Coast.

Yeah, I made a thread, but already past now. It was back in early Oct. I guess the category was too specific and narrow, that it didn’t interest many people. Oh well.
