Aquascaping 3 Tanks

I finally got an open 20 long, and the money needed to buy the necessary heater and filters to divide it. This means that my bettas will finally have everything they need to thrive. The tanks have the bare bones needed right now, they don't even have filters and one is missing a heater(both are on the way though). Lchi87, I hope you don't mind me mentioning you.
Tank #1
Divided 20 long
5 male bettas
3 sponge filters
1 heater
Planted plus 24/7

Tank #2
Divided 20 long
5 male bettas
3 sponge filters
1 heater
Beamswork 10,000k led

Tank #3
5 gallon fluval chI
1 male betta
1 sponge filter
1 heater
Clip on desk lamp

The two divided tanks are going to be the biggest challenge, there are 5 compartments on each. Getting 5 different aquascapes in the same tank that "flow" together will be quite hard, especially when you have to do it twice. The chI is on my desk, so I really want that one to look nice.
I want them to look natural, live plants and rocks and driftwood. It will probably be a while until I can get everything I need(probably December-February)
Thanks for any help guys!

HI there nope, don't mind the mention at all! Did you have specific plants in mind? I agree, aquascaping the divided up sections but keeping it cohesive will be a challenge but I think we'll be able to make it look great!

Here's a pic of Niko's tank when it's not that cloudy.

What substrate are you using? I can't tell from your pictures but it looks like a mix of gravel and sand but just want to clarify!

The two 20's have sand and the 5 has gravel.

Just so you know, I haven't forgotten about you!

I've been bouncing around ideas in my head for your 20 long divided betta tank. I know you want it natural looking but also want it to "flow" nicely so I think the key here is to use the same/similar types of plants and driftwood in each section but but have the placement differ so it looks less staged.

I'm not sure if you have picked out driftwood yet but manzanita looks awesome and is less clunky than something like mopanI and malaysian wood. You could probably just get a decent sized branch and cut it up so each section of the tank gets it own unique piece.

Plants: I was thinking some dwarf sag or S. repens out in front and attaching some broad leaf anubias to the driftwood?

I'll draw this out at some point so you can get a better visual!

EDIT: Here's where I found cheap manzanita. It's more of a craft site so I'd just write to them about the specific one you're interested in and they'll tell you if its aquarium-safe.

I forgot about this thread, lol.
The filters and heaters(and the new fish...) came in yesterday, so now I can finally start saving up for aquascaping. Good news is that I'm looking for a job.
I haven't bought anything(aside from filters) for the tank yet, but I have java fern and Taiwan moss that I would like to use.
I will definitely be getting wood too!
For other plants, I was thinking S. Repens, crypts, and Val's for sure. I really like dwarf sag too!Thank you so much for your help![
