Hey everyone! This is my first attempt at a planted tank and frankly... things could be better. I will be ordering more stuff soon and I would like some hardscape and flora suggestions.
It's a 20gal long, filtered, lit with a finnex light 6hrs/day, kept at 76 F, and ultum nature used as the substrate. Dosed daily with Seachem Excel. Dosed twice/week with Seachem nitrogen and Seachem Flourish. And dosed once/3mo with Seachem Tablets.
I'm aiming for a forest park-like scape with white rock hardscapes, lots of plants, manzanita "tree(s)", and red fauna. The rocks and twig are things I already have available. Plants I currently have are anubias nana x5 (the floaters will be anchored into the substrate on the left once the roots grow in), wisteria, java moss (this will be trimmed down once they finish anchoring), dwarf hair grass, pothos, jungle val, hornwort, water spangle, and marimo moss balls x3. Plants that I've tried previously and failed were Anacharis, El Nino Fern, and Water Lettuce. Plants I'd be interested in getting are Anubias nana petite for the manzanita tree, Aponogeton ulvaceus on the right side somewhere, and something like S Repens or P helferi wherever there is space in the foreground. I'm totally fine moving around the already established plants. Any suggestions, particularly in regards to rock hardscapes and additional plants, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
