Homemade build box, for when I'm in between scapes and need to brainstorm ideas, if I need to glue any rocks or driftwood together, i do it in one of these, that way I know I can just drop them right into a tank and i know they will fit, sometimes doing this will help me decide if i need more scaping materials or not, then I can stand back and decide what kind of plants to put in here, though I usually go with the plants I grow at home, I highly recommend making one of these to the size of your aquarium so you can design your scape before fighting with all 4 walls of the tank.

I would highly recommend, makes it a lot easier to fine tune the minor details.

I attached some pictures of what I'm working on now. Ive built 2 caves, and inside of the one on the left, I dug out about 1" of substrate so as to give them a good hiding spot, I'm leaving one side open on the side of the tank so we can still see inside. And the one on the right, I put about 13 entrances/exits inside of the "cave" I plan to have eels or khuli leaches I think that would give these "tunnels" a lot of life.

HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS METHOD

Very cool, I’m sure either species will love the hiding spots.
