going on vacation for a week and a day and it would be nice for the fish to have some light when we are gone.

Does anyone use a timer? If so, what brand?
I use a timer on all my tanks. So much more natural, and easier then turning on and off manually. Fish get used to a routine too.

I just pick up the classic walmart timer I have multiple types though, any cheap one that you can program to some extent will work.

Do you have a harbor freight tools near you? I got two awesome ones there for like 8$ each. And you can plug two lights into one timer.
