Aquarium Safe Varnish/Glaze?

Can anyone recommend an aquarium safe varnish or glaze? I want to put a few Funko Pop! Vinyls into my guppy tank, Walkers specifically (as I'm creating The Swimming Dead), but I don't know how safe the Pop! Vinyls are for tanks. Coating it in a varnish or glaze would stop anything potentially nasty leaching out into the water...wouldn't it?

Could you attach them to the outside of the tank? That might be the safest route.

 

I saw a post in a different section where someone was making a diy cave decoration and they used clear krylon fusion on it. I Googled it and apparently many many people use krylon fusion in their aquariums with no issues, general consensus is that it is aquarium safe
Could be an option
