Aquarium rack journal/questions

Hey guys, I started construction on a rack for some aquariums. It will eventually hold a 40 breeder, a 10 gallon, and 2 20 longs. This rack will be a little over 60" wide (Idr exact dimensions). My first question is this: the rack is on the second story (1st actually, we have a basement below it) and I dont think the wall is load bearing. I will send pics later of the wall. Could the wall support the weight of the tanks/equipment? I will call it 1500 LBS to be safe. It is a normal wall with studs and sheetrock and whatever.

It’s not weather the wall is load bearing but the direction your floor joists are running.

Also the width and length and where the contact points meet the floor in relation to your floor joists

The bottom of the rack will be a 2x ~60" 2x4s.

Any idea of the direction of your floor joists?

No clue. I can try to find out.

It’s best to have your tank going in the opposite direction of your floor joists aka not parallel

My room is actually right above the crawlspace, so I can see really easily the direction of the joists.
