Funny Aquarium Nightmare

I had a horrible nightmare last night that the shale that I ordered for my fish decor & DIY decorations for my planted tank, came in a box full of not shale rock but broken up fake shale tile. So in my dream I was going through an entire five pound box of laminated tile instead of the shale that I ordered. I think I'm getting a little too anxious about this tank. Has anyone else had similar nightmares about their tanks? Lol

I've never had any dreams like that about my fish tanks, but I use to have nightmares about someone hacking my world of warcraft account. The nightmares stopped after I purchased an authenticator lol.

 

I have to admit I've had some aquarium nightmares in the past. Especially after a pH crash had killed 9 of my 11 rainbow Fish!

I've had nightmares about being over run with snails, leaky tanks, or my fish mysteriously disappearing or being dead.

I think I've had one dream about my fish. It was shortly after my molly population skyrocketed practicly overnight

 

Thus wasn't a dream but it felt like it, I had two snails the both in and out if water snails. I woke up in the night to see a snail had escaped and was half way down my cupboard also took my ornaments out once to clean and noticed a snail half way across my towel on the floor!

 

I dreamed that I washed my filter in tap water and all my bacteria died, so I had to do a fish-in cycle...

Oh man I just had a good one,

Our area has minor earthquakes occasionally, and lately I've been concerned of one rattling my aquariums enough to make it tip under it's own weight. Maybe that's less likely than just scaring the fish, but that's evidently how my mind works.

So anyway in the dream I'm doing my thing and I feel one, while in the basement. I run upstairs, this quake's a long one and I can feel it rumbling better on upper floors. I get to my room and hilariously, it's not that the worst fear has come true: Sure, my 37 gallon tank is there, half-empty, a smashed hole right in the front-centre. Sure, the decorations, gravel and equipment are missing, leaving like 30 corys wiggling around confused, but it's not because of any earthquake.

My dad's standing there, having moved my big tank off the stand and he's in the process of replacing it with a 20 gallon long - he apologizes, holding up one of those heavy glass A&W mugs we have, having accidentally cracked it against my big tank so it leaked half-empty.

He is not a clumsy man, nor is he easy to get upset. So he's there taking the whole thing with amused coping skills better than I possess and just fixing it (albeit with a tank too small for my stock), while I'm confused about how angry I should even be. He didn't do it on purpose but nor did he seem to think my fish were gonna be any worse for wear. I picked up a rectangular piece of styrofoam in my original tank for no explained reason, submerging it so all these corys stuck to it don't dry out and die.

With nothing better to do to fix this, I go to get my bottle of prime to dose the tank since it's not got the filter in for no explained reason. Then I wake up.

...Both tanks were fine, I googled earthquakes in the area. None reported. So even the trigger for all of this was imagined. Lame!
