We just moved our 100 gallon freshwater tank to our new house, 3 days ago. We thought everything went smooth; we bought new lights and gravel and cleaned everything! Now we have a musty smell coming from the tank.

Prior to moving the tank we had red algae bloom and wipe out most of our fish. We took extra care to make sure the tank was clean prior to refilling. We are now using a different water supply and this water has a slight smell of Chlorine.

The picture was taken today, 3 days after the move. 14997050205501824847749.jpg

Hi and welcome! Cool-looking tank, very colourful :)

What are your current parameters? Did you re-cycle the tank after the thorough cleaning or did you not clean/replace your filter media after the red algae outbreak?
