Aquarium Hood: How to Cover Without Ordering a Replacement

How do I cover my aquarium hood completely with having to pay for a replacement? I am considering some stocking options that would need a completely covered aquarium. It kind of looks like this.

You can cut a piece of cardboard to fit and get a local glass or mirror shop to cut you a piece of glass. That's what I have on my tanks.

How would you attach the glass?

Mine sit on top. My whole lid on my 4 footers are just 4 peices of glass with a handle hot glued on the front 2.

You can purchase "fish tank clips" specifically for fish tanks (any tank really) from several places including the well-known online retailer giant.

Thank you! This is great to know! I will try and get some glass whenever possible, as I’ve got time before I decide to get any additional critters for my 20 hex.

Cut yourself a piece of lexan or plexiglass.

I was looking at my aquarium and the open part seems like it would need two pieces of glass or something flexible if I was trying to get everything covered, how would I fit something?
