Aquarium Fitting On Stand

If I had a 90 gallon tank, which is 48" x 18" x 25", could I hold it safely on a stand that measures 50" x 17"?

So it would hang roughly half an inch off the edge length wise!

As long as the stand is strong enough to hold the weight, would this be okay or no?

Especially with that size tank, I think all 4 corners should be fully supported.

Yeah I built a stand for my 55 gallon but want to upgrade to a 90 so my africans have more room to swim. Was just hoping to use the same stand but i may have to build another

I would ensure that all 4 corners are supported to ensure no excess pressure has been put on the tank. Just to be safe!

Cut a piece of 3/4" plywood 49" x 19" to put under the tank and it would probably be okay. Round off the edges, sand it, and paint it black and it will look okay.

Oh yeah this is a great idea! The stand that came with my 60 gallon tank is built this way and it works fine !!!!
