So I recently set up my 55 gallon, and just added some plants and driftwood. I am fairly new to planted tanks, so does anyone have any reccomendations on additions? Also I am not entirely sure of the stock so suggestions for that too, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you want faster plant growth, get some CO2.

Alright, I dont know if I am ready for it. Or quite frankly have the budget for it right now, but I definetely would like to invest in it in the future!

Looks like a nice start. You could add Anubis, Java Fern, Java Moss tied glued or elastics to your driftwood. Also you could try some Vals or Bacopa to the background. They will need some ferts ( Nilog Thrive or Easy Green ) and possibly some root tabs depending on your substrate.
