Hi all, long time no see! Before I begin, Mods, do you think this thread could be renamed "aquafrogg's 10 gallon tank journal" since I changed my username? Anyway, here is a really huge update on this tank...

Everyone in there is doing great! This picture is from when it was still in my dorm. I'm now back in my home town for winter break, but I haven't gotten everything organized in this tank yet. It kind of got jumbled in the car ride, and I just filled it up and plopped everyone in without worrying about making it look pretty again. I'll fix it up some time this week and update everyone

Also, I have another tank now! I'll make a separate thread on here and link it if anyone's wanting it. I'll add the whole story there of how I got it.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their week

Since moving home, this tank has become a “holding tank” for some new plants and some wood that I’m trying to Waterlog. It doesn’t look too great, but once the wood water logs and I have the time, I’ll make it a bit more presentable

I finally got this tank up to par, basically all I did was remove the Java ferns/anubias and trim/replant the stem plants. I’m in loooove. It’s basically exactly what I was going for, now I just need botanicals/tannins and the plants to grow fuller. The botanicals won’t be here until Christmas, but I can get the tannins in sooner. I’ll keep this thread updated! This tank is on the right track!

Someone help me fight the urge to rip up all the plants except for the crypts and penny wort and add a few lillies and a ton of floaters and botanicals and leaf litter and a few more riparium plants and turn it into a mini pond :/

So, the plants in this tank weren’t super healthy so I decided to dirt the tank. Since I was already needing to take out the substrate to dirt it, I went ahead and added some play sand for a softer substrate. Ollie seems to LOVE sifting through it and digging in it which is awesome. And I feel sure he appreciates the softness of it The dirt I used has peat moss in it, so I expect lots of tannins!! Next is the 20, which I know my loaches will be very happy about

The transformation through the pages was awesome. The tanks look beautiful. keep up the great work!

Since the 3 pages span several years, any chance to bring a few of them together in a single post for a quick recap?

Thank you so much! Yes you’re right, I should make a single post summing up the past 3 or so years and delete everything else and start fresh. I have wanted to make a new thread for this tank but the threads would probably end up getting merged together. This is a much better idea!!
