So yesterday, went to a local aquarium store that I had never been to before. Came out with a Betta for my newly set up 10 Gallon tank! He's beautiful, at least I think so.
Currently cycling the tank with Stability and Prime. So far he seems happy and healthy. Already he seems pretty aggressive though. There were a bunch of pond snails in that tank and he has since killed every one he finds. I wanted to add a Nirite Snail into his tank, but he might have to be on his own. Anyways. Here he is!

He's a beauty! Maybe you should try ghost shrimp? They're really fast so I don't think he'll get the chance to kill them. Plus, they'll look really nice on your black substrate.

If that beautiful boy can eat pond snails, he can probably devour a ghost shrimp. Or expensive, rare dwarf shrimp. I would do a test run with ghosties, and then try something to match him, like these!

I probably will do that once my Crypt in the tank gets a little fuller. That way the Ghost Shrimp have some chance of escape. Right now there's not a lot of places for a shrimp to hide.

I've looked at those shrimp before! I'm really interested in buying them online at this point. That fish store I went to had prices that were insane to me. I went there to buy Rummynose Tetra and they were selling 3 for $18. That's insane to me.

Great looking betta!
Hey, maybe you should loan him out to people with pond snail infestations. I bet some forum members would love to have a pest snail exterminator around like him!

Right? Lol I haven't seen a single pond snail move in that tank since he got into it. The moment he sees one move, he's on it.
